Asciak Tennis Academy Shines at Kulu Marsa Junior Open 2025

The Kulu Marsa Junior Open 2025 proved to be an exciting and competitive tournament for young tennis players from Asciak Tennis Academy. Despite some weather delays, the event was a resounding success, showcasing the talent and determination of our juniors.


Tournament Overview


The tournament began on Wednesday, 5th February 2025, but due to inclement weather, the last finals where played on Friday, 21st February. The event featured several age categories, allowing young players to compete in a structured and supportive environment.

  • Singles Categories: U10, U12, U14, U16 (Boys & Girls)

  • Doubles Categories: U12 Boys & Girls

  • Consolation Matches: U10 Boys & Girls



Tournament Highlights


  • 8-year-old Ed Spiteri Paris dominated the Boys U10 category, winning all his matches without dropping a single game.

  • 11-year-old Maxine had a spectacular run, reaching three finals: winning both the U12 Singles and U12 Doubles, while also finishing runner-up in U14 Singles.

Trophy Presentation


The Presentation of Trophies took place on Friday evening at Court No.1. Trophies were presented by Marc Gingell Little John, President of the Malta Tennis Federation, Godwin Borg, Chairman of Marsa Sports Club, and Eng. Anthony Mifsud, Chairman of the Tennis Section. They acknowledged the players' efforts and the importance of junior tennis development.
